Servers

Server infrastructure is one of the essential points in every Information system. We offer you services of installation, initial and advanced server administration, in addition to remote control, administration and monitoring mode of different server architectures and complexity levels. We offer you our vast experience and expertise in organizing and administering server infrastructure of any kind. Through client feedback we ascertain the needs and possibilities based on which we provide you the most optimal server solution to advance your business. Some of the server solutions are:

  • Domen controller
  • Mail server
  • Proxy server
  • DNS server
  • DHCP server
  • Web server
  • RADIUS server

Windows Server 2003, 2008 or 2012r2 and Active Directory provide the user a stable environment, with high level of reliability and performance. Thusly, the user can conduct his business more efficiently in a high level security and system manageability environment.

Main advantages of the Active Directory infrastructure are:
  • Unique user name and password for access to all network resources
  • Synchronized Active Directory and LDAP password
  • Reduced information load through standardization
  • Improved services by way of centralized management compatibility
  • Provided central base for individuals and organizational units
  • Lower cost of maintenance as the result of centralized IT
  • Upgraded security of work stations
  • Easier method for backing-up the user data…

Mail server is a service which provides the users posibility of interactive information sharing. Mail server receives the E-mails from the users or other mail servers. It is usually comprised of the storage part, client list and rules that regulate the user experience. The storage part keeps the individual user emails in addition to the messages which have been sent to another destination. Usually the storage is organized as a database. The predefined rules determine the reaction mode of the server depending on the individual destinations pointed out in the messages themselves. Much of the restrictions and spam protection are here defined.

By implementing a local mail server the client increases efficiency and security of receiving and sending emails, the afore mentioned database is situated within the company thus enabling easier and faster manipulation and backing up of the data. Also the filtering of the incoming mail provides greater level of manageability.

Proxy server is a sort of intermediary which processes the user demands by relating them to other servers. The client connects with the proxy server and demands a service, for example a document, connection, web page or some other resource available on other computer.

Cache proxy:

This kind of proxy is used when we want to monitor the amount of web traffic. Cache proxy stores on its’ drive the most common data requests from the internet and when that stored data is requested the server displays it from its own resources without takin up the web resources.

Web proxy server with content filtering:

The web proxy server is most commonly used for the caching of web content. More often than not, beside the caching this kind of servers is installed with content filtering and restricted internet access. For the filtering settings the keywords (facebook, games…) or/and file extensions (exe, mp3, avi…)are used to ensure maximum manageability and efficiency. By implementing these rules the network resources we are avoiding network resources overload and increasing the protection level within the local computer network.

DNS (Domain name system) is, basically, a system which transforms the computer names into IP adresses. DNS, also, provides information about domain email servers, the initial DNS server etc. DNS is based upon hierarchical principle and is one of the ground components of the Internet.

For example, when you type in your browser address window – www.google.com, your computer will, using the DNS abilities, transform that name into an IP address (74.125.39.99), that being the address of the computer on which the google browser is located. The DNS service is a neccessary component when implementing Active Directory and other network services which are used by a large number of companies in their everyday business.

DHCP (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol) is a set of rules that allow devices on computer networks to request and obtain the IP address of a DHCP server, which means that it will automatically supply the private address and learn additional information such as the router’s first hop address and DNS address server. DHCP is able to automate network aspects, which in a large measure measures the administrator’s efforts and eliminates the possibility of error when manually adding an IP address by the system administrator. You can easily get into a conflict that resides on multiple computers with the same IP address, and when the DHCP server cannot reach.

Web server is an application/service which uses the Client – Server and World wide Hypertext transfer protocol (HTTP) technologies to provide, to the users, information in form of web pages. Every computer on the Internet which has a web site must use this technology. The public and private web servers should be distinguished.

Public web servers hava a unique IP address and uniquely assigned name for easier remebering.

Local web server can display the content only to the users in the local computer network. Although it is spatially limited it is very usefull in companies that use local web applications.

Remote Authentication Dial In user service is an application which authentificates and authorizes the clients who are accessing or want to access the network resources. Client who wants to access specific network resources, has to send a request for authentication, including the access parameters, to the RADIUS server which verifies them (usually username and password) and consequently accepts or refuses the requests. RADIUS server support certain methods of data encryption which are sent by a request in order to avoid sending of the parameters as a plain text.
